I agree with his thoughts in general. A share buy back would send positive vibes to the investment community.

It would also provide for improved eps and other financial criteria used by the market.

The decision hinges on the behind the door strategies beiing developed as to new product development, acquisitions, partnerships, etc., and other uses of the funds and the amount of cash to support decisions along these lines.

If adequate funds are available from the current suits and a positive markman ruling precedes the current settlements and we see more suits filed in the near future, then it may be a good step to begin a buy back program and follow through with an amount over the next 12 or so months in addition to any other long term programs contemplated.

I would support a buy back, but would like to see what the long term plans are regarding alternative strategies.
