I'm a bit ignorant about how share buyback works and have read that there are different ways a company can accomplish this. My question is this..can the amount of shares I own..paltry as it is.... be reduced by the company (similar to what happens in a reverse split)..totally beyond my control and my will? Or is it solely per a volunteer basis?
