The market looks at it two, possibly 3 ways, primarily, imo.
1) the cash value
2) market value based on expectations of more or less of the same.(since EDIG has such a long line of infringers to go after, that will be taken into consideration, once the market becomes aware)
Usually stocks trade above their cash value. A company with no debt, vitually no overhead, not to mention a pathway for continued revenue growth, and a warchest will command a higher pps imo. If not, they run the risk of a take over for that cash.
What EDIG management does with their money in the meantime also plays a part in perceived value, such as merger and acquisition activity or a share buyback, shrinking the collective outstandings shares thus increasing the value of existing shares.
A third effect would be the market's reaction to shockingly good news, such as a $30 million+ settlement coupled with a "deal" of some sort featuring product collaboration with a multi billion company or an alliance...and press/analyst acknowledgement, then the market dictates and is never wrong. This is where bandwagon and momo players come into play.
All imo...
