Why Thomsonfly?
Thomsonfly has been created in recognition of the changing needs of travellers and holiday makers in the UK and throughout Europe. Our objective is to provide more choice, more flexibility and more opportunity by offering inspiring destinations, attractive schedules and, very importantly, low fares.
Aircraft operator
Thomsonfly has a fleet of 43 aircraft and carries over 8 million passengers each year from around 20 UK airports to over 96 destinations in 37 countries.
Founded at Luton in 1962 as Euravia, becoming Britannia two years later, the airline has always been at the forefront of new services and innovations on board.
Thomsonfly was awarded the Investors in People award in recognition of its commitment to training and development. The award has since been renewed twice and Thomsonfly remains the only major airline to hold it.
Ownership
Thomsonfly is part of TUI AG, the largest tourism and travel services group in the world, which is based in Hanover, Germany. This also includes TUI UK which has brands including Thomson - the UK`s largest tour operator and Thomson Travel Shops - the UKs biggest travel agency. Thomsonfly is part of a group of airlines in the World of TUI including Hapag-Lloyd in Germany, Britannia in Sweden, Corsair in France and TUI Airlines in Belgium. The combined fleet of all TUI airlines numbers over 100 aircraft.
