Oracle 'interested in buying IP of all kinds' - CEO

U.S. firm is looking to acquire chip, software companies.

Oracle Corp. Chief Executive Larry Ellison reiterated his interest in acquiring chip and software companies on Wednesday at the business-software company's annual stockholder meeting.

Semiconductors are intellectual property, he added, so "we would be interested in certain kinds of semiconductor companies and software companies. Most of our acquisitions and the bulk of our strategy are in creating and acquiring intellectual property, including chips."

I think back to years ago having "discussions" with some of the NNN clan regarding the concept of EDIG's patents being an asset or not and witnessed endless claims maligning that possibility...seems again, EDIG has positioned itself in a sweet spot at the right time...and this time is prepared to leverage it to the max.

Wouldn't mind seeing some interest from such moguls as above regarding a buyout.
