Duane Morris' Philadelphia Office Adds Intellectual Property Attorney Gretchen L. Temeles, Ph.D.

Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that Dr. Gretchen L. Temeles has joined the firm’s growing Intellectual Property Practice Group as an associate in its Philadelphia office. Her arrival further strengthens Duane Morris’ patent practice and its depth of experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Temeles joins Duane Morris from Fish & Richardson, P.C. Temeles graduated with a doctorate in Biology from Yale University, where she concentrated on cellular and molecular biology. She has extensive research experience in the areas of cancer biology, inflammation, reproductive biology and Alzheimer’s disease.

At Message Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology startup company, her work involved small-molecule drug-discovery research; there, she managed a group of scientists focused on characterization of compounds and their mechanism of action. Temeles also performed research with Merck Sharp and Dohme Research Laboratories and with the University of Pennsylvania’s biology and human genetics departments.

Temeles is a 2009 graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law and earned a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.
