Guardian Sues AT&T, Microsoft Over V-Chip Patents

Law360, New York (November 10, 2010) -- Guardian Media Technologies Ltd. on Wednesday accused 36 companies — including AT&T Inc., Microsoft Corp., TiVo Inc. and Staples Inc. — of infringing two patents related to parental control features in digital video recorders, personal computers and other devices.

Longview, Texas-based Guardian Media filed its complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, asserting U.S. Patent Numbers 4,930,158 and 4,930,160....
