Your explanation pretty much covers the issue. Each party has negotiated use of each others patents as identified and edig has agreed to a one time license fee from most.

Any partnership would probably result from patents being utilized outside of the initial agreement and may result in a payment in either direction. I doubt any payment would be derived form the initial agreement as each party has complete access to the patents in question and doesn't need the expertise of the other company to develop new products.

I believe the settlement agreement with Samsung and the others as per the pacer filings was quite clear. All settlements to date have been clear except we don't know the specifics of any of the agreements including the special obligations with Samsung, but I doubt it had anything to do with other payments.

We do know that out each company settlement has the rights to specific or all of our patents both domestic and foreign. We also have the rights to specific patents not identified as part of the agreement.
