Holy cow is the only way I can put it. I didn’t anticipate this type of response. I simply wanted to convey my thoughts about what has been going on and considered for a long time. I wasn’t trying to be negative, simply objective, at least in my own mind. I will try to clarify some issues and questions you have raised.

1.I have been north of 100k since 8/08.

2.I have been aware of ‘774 for a very long time. I mentioned that I was involved in the early days FM. Skip Matthews was Intel’s Flash Evangelist back in the early ‘90’s.

3.“774 was a big slap in the face for Intel. They were very happy when Comp General, Norris Communications and Flashback appeared to go away. So was Olympus, Sony, etc. But we all know they didn’t in the form of edig. I really don’t understand how they stayed alive all these years, but I am glad they did. I am also aware Skip was a on the BOD in the mid-90’s, but it didn’t last very long.

4.I have followed edig ever since. I was vey pleased when DM realized what ‘774 is, and entered the picture.

5.Why do I think the other patents in place are “Fluff”? Meaningful patents are innovative, unique, and cover broad ground. ‘170 also fits the bill, but was already in Flashback, the original user of Removable FM. ‘445 OS and ‘108 File Management are broad concepts. I can’t believe the impingers of ‘774 don’t have ways to “picket fence” around them. I could be wrong, we’ll see, or we won’t. I think edig simply wanted to expand their portfolio and credibility in hopeful anticipation of this day. Not dumb.

6.PR: I notice that none of you have mentioned why isn’t going after wide spread PR. I, without bragging, have received a considerable amount of press in my life. I believe that all PR is good, unless it involves criminal activity. I certainly do not think that is the case here. I gave my reasons for the lack of PR in my last post. And, as I said, I could be wrong. But, I simply do not understand it. I could tell you more about the WSJ’s interest, but I will tell you they are simply waiting to see what develops beyond the 1st settlements. I assure you they understand the significance of what is happening.

7.I know I threw out a collusion theory, but it is simply a theory. I want to be wrong. But, I simply do not understand what continues to happen with the PPS (see I’m learning your jargon).

8.I also realize I told you my opinion of RP and FF that it maybe didn’t sit well with some of you. I have researched RP and as I said has been in this from for a while. He holds a similar position at ATC; also a Woody Norris inspired company. I also realize he holds a difficult position(s). I simply don’t like the way he handles himself. FF has been with edig since ’95 and has held various positions in this very small company. I think he has been Pres twice. I also think he is primarily their on-the-road sales force. Nothing wrong with that. He has a lot of time invested, and simply has to go with the BOD/DM flow.

9.I could also tell you why Flashback, a truly innovative product, failed in the marketplace, remember, I have one of the originals. It was not “because it was ahead of its time”.

10.Almost lastly, yes, if my theory is true it would be considered illegal if ever brought up and proved, and then who would benefit?

11.Agora: I didn’t know about Agoracom until a few month’s ago, or even that these forums existed. When I discovered you all, I decided to just observe for a while, unsure if I ever wanted to post. As I have said, I picked up some thought provoking insights amongst the chatter. Please don’t take that wrong, it’s all good. Fellowship is a very good thing. I decided to participate, and convey my observations and thoughts. For good or bad. Any bad was not conscientiously meant to offend.

I am not an edig detractor. I think we will all make some $. We’ll see how much.
