Just for entertainment purposes, let me asyk this!...
Data transmitted electronically as (0)S and (1)S, comes to a recieiving teminal. In the Old days, (15-20) years ago, you need a whole lot of RAM to stor it on until the software embeded on a mptherbaord could take its sweet time and translate it, making it accessible...
This created two problems. (1) a log jam at the gate as data was being processed, and (2) one needed loads of RAM to accomodate ever increasing amountof data avaiable for transmission, like pictures and so on...
MOS's claim to fame was/is that it functions as a "Gate Keeper", herding the data in packets for translation, thus cutting off the log jam and eleminating the need for massive hardware to process massive amount of digital data tranmitted over the air waves...
Thus EDIG'S claim "If it has an SD card, and you take it out, and it does not work, then it infringes on our patents" TOPIC THAN "RE-EXAMINATION" BY USPTO...
