CONFERENCE CALL QUESTIONS MAR-2011 I've got a lot of questions as a result of company actions and inactions and would prefer that this conference call be substanitive in nature, hence loading the boat with legitimate questions in advance that deserve answers and guidance.
I want thoughtful answers, thus giving Fred Falk enough time to consider shareholders legitimate concerns so he might prepare in order that we might become a better informed and educated shareholder base, further advocating for the company, rather than coming away with anything less. This should be a win-win experience and not a head butting contest, especially in light of the fact that EDIG is about to turn a big corner in its patent litigation via DM as well as being at a point of redefining itself as a patent house.
3) What exactly will Dr. Pat Nunally's role be for the EDIG Innovations Group?
4) Considering the state of IFE in general, not to mention the diminished capacity of EDIG's ability to grow this market due to the realignment of personel to the new EDIG Innovations Group, will EDIG either sell or spin off this part of their business model and focus 100% on growing the patent portfolio?
5)
6) Is Duane Morris advising EDIG on its business going forward or are they solely our legal representative on the Flash Patent ongoing litigation, and are they involved with the new EDIG group?
Given that EDIG is essentially becoming a patent think tank, will you be looking to downsize the physical plant when the lease is up, taking advantage of lower rent structures as a result of the current ecomony?
7) When can we expect the announcement of "what new patents have been applied for" and do you expect a long approval process?
8) What is the current status of our security patent pending?
9) Has any company mentioned to you they might be interested in buying Edig?
10) Will EDIG be actively soliciting licensing fees immediately and proactively upon any new patents granted and new technologies, and will Duane Morris be representing them in this process to put some teeth behind such solicitaitons for royalty payments?
11) What is the status of EDIG's dealings with microcap fund exposure and the marketing efforts you have been considering over the past year or so?
12) At what point will EDIG be able to set forth in a PR that they are suing company (A) for a specific amount of money for patent infringement and damages, as we see with many other companies defending their patent portfolios?
13)
14) Why are NDA's made for each settlement?
15) Will there be a replacement for Robert?
16) How many software / hardware are employed by EDIG? Can you give us a synopsis of what
17)
Mr. Falk, assuming that we are successful, in the M.H. ruling, and also assuming that that could potentially lead to millions of dollars for us, how do you, and the B.O.D. , and even D.M. plan on spending future revenues? Specifically, dividends, investments in others, more R&D.
18) What were the elements that RP referenced and promised by the end of the year on behalf of e.Digital?
19) Assuming we have a positive outcome for the Markman and the Patent Reexams producing settlements and IP revenue.....what plans does e.Digital have to grow the company and shareholder value and NOT become a PTSC whittling away the cash?
20) How many patents have we applied for and what can be
said about their status?
21) What has transpired with new patents applied for, patents that have been denied and are being appealed and the patent that is being re-examined.
22) Is the IP mentioned in the PR that the EDIG.com site was created for in existance or being created?
OR if I missunderstood.
Does the IP exist and it will be going into products that will be presented on the EDIG.com website for consumers?
23) Please clarify the reexam process for the key patents currently being litigated.
If and when the companies settle are you going to announce the name of those companies?
1) What will be the strategy, going forward, to confront as many infringers as possible with the least amount of lag time between settlements? As a public company that reports regularly, shareholder value suffers with long delays between settlement announcements. Is that just how it is or can Duane Morris employ an alternative strategy to tackle more infringers at a a time?
2) How can we as share holders hold Edigital more accountable for following through with information promissed and in the future providing reasonable guidence for actions taken and actions that may be forthcoming?
