You hit on the things I find intriguing about the CC. Why? Why now other than to fulfill a supposed commitment where they were under no real obligation? Why if they ain't got that much to say?

But it seems the prevailing attitude is that it may be much ado about nothing.

Perhaps it's my generally optimistic attitude (it's a gift, and a curse. LOL), but my bottom line is that it won't be a sharing of negative info, but of positive info. It's matter of how much and how significant to the near term.

But I only just stepped back into this picture, and things (after years) are a little blurry around the edges.

I guess we'll all find out Monday. At least for me it should make the picture a little less blurred.
