How does the Judge do her judging?

Lawyers and/or judges ( but not lawyerlong), how does the Judge make a decision on a case like this over 7 weeks later. Do they review hundreds ( or thousands) of pages of transcripts, watch video of the proceedings, or just remeber what what said in the courtroom? I would think that in such a short hearing they would replay at least parts of it when trying to determine the outcome. I wonder if the judge schedules a certain time to spend reviewing the case, how much time they devote to it and when on their calender do they decide to review the case. Seems like things would be a lot easier and more efficient if they made quicker rulings. What exactly is Marcia doing all of this time and when will we find out the result?
