Message: Re: i4i vs microsoft: invalidating patents

There will come a time when nothing will be safe not even that which microsoft own's. What will be good the goose will also effect the gander.

The supreme court knows that the egg shells they step on will effect all inventions and that is what they want to avoid.

Its more simple to keep the lines of ownership sharp and the arguments within the framework of patern. They look to complicate things so that the lines become industinguishable and so the fight goes on and the appeals are never ending.

Here again we have judges that have their opinion entering the decision and thats what is bad. Opinions are not knowledge based on fact, They are just what someone might feel. The proof of that is we have written law that we then depend on 9 judges to see the law with its intent and the 9 are divided. Even those that agree have other opinion that differ with the others.

Here again we need to wait for the decision to be handed down and hope that the opinion of the judge see's it our way.
