After dissecting the the issues the only thing you have to realize...

“received processed sound electrical signals” is not considered a memory issue and is not hard to interpret from the opinion. It's not pointed to the memory by the court.

To make that an issue for the memory it must be chosen (as applicable) for a particular CODEC routine.
