In my very humble opinion on the subject, the judge felt rather incompetent to pass a definitive judgement on the subject. To be frank I have a dr degree on economics and close to one in mathematics and often I feel helpless in appreciating all the intricacies of elecrical engineering - although I proved the first few theorems that later became to be known as the foundation of control theory in another context. Her decision points towards another direction; namely, it is imposible for an attorney to pass judgements on technical matters that increasingly appear to be very specialized and require specific knowledge. Given this, it seems that special courts with judges that have both engineering degrees as well as law degrees should be institutionalized so judgements may reflect actual knowledge as opposed to guesses ande speculation. This is not a far fetched opinion since the good pattent attorneys who write the pattents satisfy this requirement. In the mean time we suffer.

PS Please forgive any and all typos. I just had a changing knee operation and the pills for excruciating pain fog my mind.
