All -

Joe is out of surgery and they are settling him into the intensive care unit! His doctor said the surgery went just as planned and he could already see an improvement in the function of Joe's heart.

We'll be able to visit him in a couple of hours but they will not be bringing him off the anesthesia until early evening if all goes as planned. He'll likely be moved out of the ICU tomorrow and I'll let you know when that happens.

I will pass along all of your well wishes and kind words as soon as I can.
