Claim 19...has two storage memory options.... Option 1 is not considered, however, having the same digital consideration.
option 1
a receiving socket electrically coupled to the memory control circuitry and configured for electrical coupling with a recording medium which is capable of retaining recorded digital information for storage; (Digital management information for : memory quality issues Claim 5 of the ‘737 Patent , Analog files stored on analog memory)
option 2 (same as Claim 1...term)
a flash memory module which operates as sole memory of the received processed sound electrical signals (state Analog not processed per court consideration[1])and is capable of retaining recorded digital information for storage in nonvolatile form; (Digital management information for : memory quality issues Claim 5 of the ‘737 Patent, Analog files stored on digital memory....i.e.....NAND see link analog values stored on NAND structures)
[2]the device use only flash memory, not RAM or any other memory system, while engaging the CODEC, DSP (as applicable), and memory control functions, as well as storing the fully-manipulated data."

Claim 1....has one storage memory option
a receiving socket electrically coupled to the memory control circuitry and configured for electrical coupling with a flash memory module which operates as sole memory of the received processed sound electrical signals (IMO, processed analog-to-digital conversion, however, state Analog not processed per court consideration[1]) and is capable of retaining recorded digital information for storage in nonvolatile form; (Digital management information for : memory quality issues Claim 5 of the ‘737 Patent , Digital files stored on digital memory....i.e.....NAND)
[2]the device use only flash memory, not RAM or any other memory system, while engaging the CODEC, DSP (as applicable), and memory control functions, as well as storing the fully-manipulated data."

Note:
"a flash memory module which operates as sole memory"
For me, that reads that the flash memory option for Claim
1 and Claim 19 option 2 can be solely utilized for two uses...meaning it "only" takes one memory for both uses.
Sole = only

RE: claim term B construction
3. Defendants’ Proposed Constructions: (1) flash memory module: “a removable, interchangeable flash memory recording medium” and (2) {e.Digital original} sole memory of the received processed sound electrical signals: “the only memory of the received processed sound electrical signals, without another memory system such as RAM”
The defendants wanted option 1 storage memory considered....and option 2 not considered, where option 1 to be "the only memory"considered. With that, ignoring the "digital information" issue of option 1 "without another memory system such as RAM”.
They did not get what they were after, however, the court composed around the RAM issue some what, as it relates to Analog issues. It took into consideration both type options..."as applicable" for the file data constructs analog or digital....however, not for the "digital information" and management issues.
