"As a matter of fact could someone please translate the judge's ruling?"
FWIW, my notes, keep in mind that claim 19 (analog issues) has two memory options and for claim 1 (digital issues) there is only one.
I don't know if this will help...you might copy and past the comparisons of claims 19 and claim 1 to a word processor application for a better study. I've updated, somewhat, for others that may have an interest in my considerations.
Claim 19.
A record/playback device for use with a removable, interchangeable, flash memory recording medium which enables extended recording comparable with tape cassette dictating equipment, said device comprising:
a housing;
a microphone element coupled to the housing and con-figured to receive and process sound into electrical signals;
control circuitry coupled to the microphone element and including signal input circuitry, amplification circuitry, memory control circuitry, signal output circuitry and control logic circuitry for performing record and play-back functional operations with respect to the electrical signals and other regulated components of the record/ playback device;
said switch means coupled to the control circuitry for selecting the desired functional operations to be per-formed;
memory option 1 ...a receiving socket electrically coupled to the memory control circuitry and configured for electrical coupling with a recording medium which is capable of retaining recorded digital information for storage; ---------> ( recording medium [ analog memory] is not considered for the courts construction, however, it has the same ' digital information" issue, ... Digital management information for : memory quality issues Claim 5 of the ‘737 Patent , Analog files stored on analog memory)
memory option 2 ...a flash memory module which operates as sole memory of the------->[2]...... received processed sound electrical signals ------->(state Analog not processed per court consideration [1])and is capable of retaining recorded digital information for storage in nonvolatile form; -------->(Digital management information for : memory quality issues Claim 5 of the ‘737 Patent , Analog files stored on digital memory....i.e.....NAND see link analog values stored on NAND structures)
[1]The phrase “received processed sound electrical signals” refers to the electrical signals that have been generated by the microphone and passed through the amplifier and gain control circuits, but have yet to be converted by the CODEC.
[2]the device use only flash memory, not RAM or any other memory system, while engaging the CODEC, DSP (as applicable), and memory control functions, as well as storing the fully-manipulated data." ....... sole = only
a speaker coupled to the control circuitry for playback of recorded digital information; and power source coupled to the control circuitry for supplying electrical power to the device.

Claim 1.
A record/playback device for use with a removable, interchangeable, flash memory recording medium which enables extended recording comparable with tape cassette dictating equipment, said device comprising:
a housing;
a microphone element coupled to the housing and con-figured to receive and process sound into electrical signals;
control circuitry coupled to the microphone element and including signal input circuitry, amplification circuitry, analog-to-digital conversion circuitry, memory control circuitry, signal output circuitry and control logic circuitry for performing record and playback functional operations with respect to the electrical signals and other regulated components of the record/playback device;
said switch means coupled to the control circuitry for selecting the desired functional operations to be per-formed;
a receiving socket electrically coupled to the memory control circuitry and configured for electrical coupling with a flash memory module which operates as sole memory of the ------>[2]....received processed sound electrical signals --------> (IMO, processed analog-to-digital conversion, however, state Analog not processed per court consideration[1]) and is capable of retaining recorded digital information for storage in nonvolatile form; ------>(Digital management information for : memory quality issues Claim 5 of the ‘737 Patent , Digital files stored on digital memory....i.e.....NAND)
[1]The phrase “received processed sound electrical signals” refers to the electrical signals that have been generated by the microphone and passed through the amplifier and gain control circuits, but have yet to be converted by the CODEC.
[2]the device use only flash memory, not RAM or any other memory system, while engaging the CODEC, DSP (as applicable), and memory control functions, as well as storing the fully-manipulated data." sole = only
For claim 1, IMO, " not RAM or any other memory system" should not be a consideration.....
IMO, "as applicable" and "not RAM or any other memory system" together are counterintuitive for all considerations. Fore "as applicable" would indicate a chosen condition without having to stipulate component relevance of either file constructs, analog or digital, or the read back conditions of either.
a speaker coupled to the control circuitry for playback of recorded digital information;
and a power source coupled to the control circuitry for supplying electrical power to the device.
=====================================
Courts construction "a flash memory module which operates as sole memory of the received processed sound electrical signals"
"Accordingly, the Court concludes that the proper construction of the phrase “a flash memory module which operates as sole memory of the received processed sound electrical signals” is best addressed in two parts.
[1]The phrase “received processed sound electrical signals” refers to the electrical signals that have been generated by the microphone and passed through the amplifier and gain control circuits, but have yet to be converted by the CODEC.
[2]The remainder of the disputed language [a flash memory module which operates as sole memory of the] requires that the device use only flash memory, not RAM or any other memory system, while engaging the CODEC, DSP (as applicable), and memory control functions, as well as storing the fully-manipulated data."
=====================================
Note:
"a flash memory module which operates as sole memory"
For me, that reads that the flash memory option for Claim 1 and, Claim 19 option 2 can be solely utilized for two uses...meaning it "only" takes one memory for both digital or analog file constructs.
Sole = only

RE: claim term B construction
3. Defendants’ Proposed Constructions: (1) flash memory module: “a removable, interchangeable flash memory recording medium” and (2) sole memory of the received processed sound electrical signals: “the only memory of the received processed sound electrical signals, without another memory system such as RAM”
The defendants wanted option 1(recording medium) of claim 19 storage memory considered....and option 2(flash memory) of claim 19 and claim 1 not considered. Where option 1(recording medium) to be "the only memory"considered, based on phrase issues pulled from option 2(sole memory of the received processed sound electrical signals: ), there by misconstruing the word sole if placed with option 1(recording medium).
With that, ignoring the "digital information" issue of claim 19 detailed for both memory options, as well as being detailed for claim 1 "
Defendants did not get what they were after, however, the court composed around the RAM issue some what. It took into consideration both file type constructs, digital or analog, "as applicable" as it relates to Analog issues for claim 19 stored to both memory options. By doing so, making it an all encompassing issue of claim 1.... being totally a digital issue.
With that, made no consideration for the "digital information" issues as it relates to Claim 1 or 19.
======================================
IMO, 737 will relate to the "information" issue with regard to Claim 1 and Claim 19.....there is a digital issue considered for both.
The court must now consider...Note two options of memory for claim 19....and one option for claim 1
A. “flash memory” (Claims 1, 2 and 19 of the ‘774 Patent and Claim 5 of the ‘737 Patent)
e.Digital’s Proposed Construction: "block erasable non-volatile memory"
Defendants’ Proposed Construction: "block erasable non-volatile memory that is the main memory of the system "
