Smart Phones, Tablets, Laptops and the ever growing WiFi capable jet liners have taken over the entertainment choices, rendering eVU all but dead...I totally agree with you LO, Fred said it himself at the SHM.

A gal at EDIG (Beth) who has been with them MANY years, manages the eVU repair services, parts sales and content intergration. From the June 21 year end report: "and $1.1 million in eVU™ portable in flight entertainment (IFE) sales and services."

There are a little over 5000 units still out there, how many in daily service is unknown, but it's a nice gross margin and a steady income so far. From my opening line, as stated by Fred, this is why they shelved the next gen eVU.
