Nice find techwiz!
Based on what I interpreted/saw in the NUNCHI demo video, this AAPL thing is different.
Simply put, if one is a Facebook member and has a list of friends...real freinds that you know, the user(s) can decide how much you are willing to share with each freind. Each user decides one by one the level of privacy, when and where you wish to be available or not.
Re: webcast 3/14, "Selective-Automated-Social-Networking"
A simple example, at home or traveling, using ones email service be it your employer's system, Yahoo, Hotmail etc, if you are doing a Peter-Paul & Mary thing..."I'm leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again" you set your "Out of Office Assistant" to automatically reply to emails, "I am catching a flight to Boston and cannot access emails until about 6 PM tonight...I will get back to you then."
Expand that into anything you can think of as to where, when and how you wish to social network with the entire list. Via Facebook, one can meet strangers too, so not sure what is so unique about the AAPL patent filing in June?
One thing for sure, as of 3/14 webcast, they said 7 new filings had been done and 4 yet to be filed. Year ending report stated 7 also, and at the SHM Fred/Pat mentioned having done extensive patent pending research via our attorneys before any filengs were done. If we have features like this AAPL thing, we may have beaten them to the draw?
PS, nice to see a new subject line without my name in it...LOL.
