In every case of a reverse split that I have monitored, I've only seen one that worked in favor of the shareholders and the company. In most cases, it's seen as a negative; and market cap has usually suffered. In the one case that was positive, there was a lot of positive news and momentum. It was also over $1 at the time, and the reverse enabled it's listing.

Perhaps at a different time, but not when uncertainty and weakness is apparent - sort of like sharks and blood in the water!
