I find it interesting that EDIG and the examiner did come to some agreement and apparently EDIG will be submitting amendments for consideration. This seems to be good news to me, especially when there's a box on page 3 titled, "an agreement was not reached". I would think if the concessions EDIG needs to make to appease the USPTO were bad for EDIG, they wouldn't have made an agreement. Make sense? The rejection of certain claims by the examiner based on the limitation, "a power source coupled to the control circuitry for supplying electrical power to the device" seems benign to me as far as a concession by EDIG.

And no mention of RAM, sole memory, removable flash, flash memory or anything like that from the USPTO. If the '774 gets re-validated with minimal changes in claims 1-5, 18 and 19, this has to be a small victory for us. Lord knows, we need any good news we can get.
