"The big question is who the third-party is that owns the algorithms?"

That's not the big question, not to me anyway.

More important to me are the platform patents for the gathering, generating and transmission of data that are to be analyzed.

“We are continuing to develop our Nunchi™ technology. The patent-pending Nunchi platform consists of an infrastructure for mobile devices and host servers, hosting third-party application specific signal processing algorithms. These algorithms analyze data collected by multiple sensors on mobile devices.

e.Digital manages the telemetry issues....others analyze the data.

Others can build a patent base of their own hinged on e.Digitals platform.....I have always considered this from the get go. To some degree it went that way with Boyer and his partner Hanson and their applying for patents. However, the Hanson patent, IMO, over stepped the bounds of who does what on the Digeplayer platform.

This now seems more in line with definitive lines of understanding for patent ownership issues.

FWIW
