Let's see, please show me some high or no risk under a dollar companies that have a deficit of 80 or so million dollars.

In answering your question, I would bet that there are many profitable companies on the nasdaq or DOW that at one time in the past were under a dollar. I remember perhaps 10-20 years ago that AAPL, INTC, MSFT, YHOO and others were in the dollar to two dollar range.
