It does detect "ambient noise levels." when the conditions for conversation are on the other party can hear the ambient noise.

Lets focus on this one, of many assets....having "Normally" a dedicated condition..on or off...Having "Normally" other dedicated issues to be implemented along with the microphone for a two way conversation.....detailed to a specific transmission protocol.

With that, how will e.Digital snag the analog state from the above(MIC) while having circuitry on @ all times, so that it may, if needed, properly introduce proprietary digital attributes...., then introduce compression, then snag the compressed data, packet as needed for specific protocol , changing the physical direction of signals from the typical use, to a network data transmission needing a modem of some sort?

There's trickry in the circuitry to get things to come togeteher, or the sensor, whatever it might be, is a seprate issue.
