EDIG was outsourcing accounting services until MarDee became an employee, in fact she was one of them, then came on board as Chief Accounting Officer at a minimum of 24 hours/week, as an hourly employee @ $65/hour (I think this is correct). If 48 weeks/year is used, this = $74,880/year. Keep in mind this is a gauranteed minimum.

She then became an exempt employee (I don't know what EDIG's benefit pkg is?), promoted to CFO, requiring a minimum of 28 hours/week at a flat $98,000/year and some stock options. This amounts to $72.90/hour if she works no more that 28 hours/week.

This is San Diego, lived here 30 years, and the going rate for a quality accountant at a mid size to large firm commands a higher salary, but for an EDIG to me this is about right.

From October 2005 to December 2006 she was Corporate Audit Manager at Royale Energy, Inc. and previously was employed by Charlotte Russe, Inc. as Systems Control & Reporting Manager and Deloitte & Touche, LLP as an audit professional. Ms. Haring-Layton obtained a B.S. in Business Administration from San Diego State University in 2003.
