I guess from a certain perspective it's funny. But from my perspective, given the circumstances it's not very funny.

I hope Bill was bluffing about sending letters, because regardless of how a letter may be written, the true intent comes to light with the countless posts that didn't contain any "IMO or I suspect" statements. Could be considered as real damages. Who knows how any company would look at a situation where their CEO is being publicly slandered IMO?
