Look at the recent banking scandal. five billion, most likely loss, the result as far as the CEO was concerned was oops. In the mean time, the lady who was getting paid $15 million a year was fired. Yet, the CEO is himself on notice. No more screw ups. Yes, I agree about Mr. Falk, but it is useful to let the BOD know that the troops are restless. That put pressure on all of them.
