"possibly infringement settlements out of court?"

This is what we need soon. With this new, re-certified patent, DM should have increased leverage to get some early settlements, which will help with EDIG's liquidity and also help give the patent "surface validity" while the process moves forward. Doing this also gives DM a chance to test the waters and see how potential infringers respond. I expect many will want to settle, and in some cases that's fine. But in other cases, especially the "big fish," we need to keep their feet to the fire and either extract very large settlements or go to court, which can be time consuming and expensive but is ultimately necessary.

Well, I'm sure DM have thought all this through and have come up with an overall strategy. I just hope it involves some short-term as well as some long-term revenues.
