I just returned from a cruise to Alaska (out of Seattle). While the cruise was wonderful, the ASE? (at sea entertainment?) left a lot to be desired. We had a satellite feed of CNN, which allowed us to feel guilty watching the aftermath of Katrina, but not much else. There were a couple of old movies and a few episodes of Sgt. Bilko which they ran over and over. One screen did show the ship`s speed, course, and position, which I found interesting but my wife preferred Bilko.

In spite of there being many things to do on the ship, there were times when we just wanted to relax in the cabin and at night there was nothing to see from the balcony. So to settle in with a nice movie would have been relaxing.

There was been some mention by EDIG of cruise ships so I hope someone is staying on top of this area.
