This much information could easily have been published on the website a long time ago.
Although not presented as this nice write-up, it effectively WAS presented at the last
shareholder meeting according to comments on this board at the time.

"Until we have something significant to share, we will (not?) do nor say anything."

Well, they've certainly held to not doing or saying anything for some time now. Maybe this update doesn't really count and they just got around to updating the website.

The question I have is... What is the reason they no longer feel the need to "keep things quiet"?

I can think of only two possibilities - the one we'd all like to believe, and the one that Bimages mentioned.
