NFC Technology taking off

If you are an IEEE member, there are some interesting articles in this months journals on NFC. Its worth checking out.
Hopefully NFC is something that the innovations group is working on. There is a Korean company that makes a printable NFC chip with transmitter and antenna that does not need any power. Costs less than a penny each. It can be printed on anything and even applied to the skin.
Think of the possibilities. You walk up to your car, it opens the doors, and starts the engine when it detects its you. Same with your house, opens when you come to the door, locks up when you leave.
No more waiting in checkout lines at the store. As you exit, it detects you along with all the items in your cart, and charges your credit card.
This is the dawn of NFC.
