I'll agree with that. Thing is, that imaging application is managed on board the CE device....And as it reads, that includes the relational reference data base.
In this case, a point of reference that is coordinated in reference of two images captured, which would also have to be of a known origin from a data base.
data changes ....such as ...."if it's approved, a text/coupon is sent" or, in this case, an image of a particular issue within a data base...e.g Dunkin Donuts....that is referenced after two images of proximity are conditioned.
CE devices are not going to be able to keep up with constantly changing referencing data.
e.Digital has what it takes to have a system, that is, lets say...WORLDLY...Having the ability to reference the most current data, anywhere, at any time.
As everything contemplates moving to the cloud, they are still on the device with this one.
