Perhaps they need to develop and launch Gimbal faster and wrap it with a NUNCHI license - or just cut us a check.
"Qualcomm QCOM -7.08% shares were down more than 5% in after-hours trading following the report. The stock closed the regular session up nearly 1% at $66.
The company makes modem chips and application processors used in smartphones and other mobile devices. Its chips are used in devices ranging from Apple’s AAPL -0.16% iPhone to Android smartphones from Samsung KR:005930 +0.20% and HTC, as well as Windows Phone devices from NokiaNOK +1.27% .
For the period ended March 31, Qualcomm reported net income of $1.87 billion, or $1.06 per share, compared with net income of $2.2 billion, or $1.28 per share, for the same period last year. Adjusted earnings came in at $2.07 million, or $1.17 per share, for the recent period.
Revenue jumped 24% to $6.12 billion. Shipments of its Mobile Station Modem, or MSM, units rose 14% to 173 million units. Revenue from the company’s licensing business jumped 19% to nearly $2.1 billion."
