My Friday afternoon guess.
Let's say IPMetrics secured enough interest from several bigger tech users through the first 6 weeks of activity that they were satisfied and then set appointment dates to establish valuation, sell licenses or even the IP/company sale.
As the licensing, value determination and maybe possible sale process has started to entertain new interested parties ( that could happen later) would be difficult as you're attempting to advance the first group at an equal pace.
Starting the process over with a new group might be difficult and a bit like herding Cats so you table the new interested parties until a later date, if needed.
Again, wishful thinking.
