I hate to ask again, but got few replies to my original post (linked above). I'm still anxious for input/corrections from folks more astute than myself (which would include just about everyone here!). If, by some freak accident, my speculation is correct (at least regarding Osram and MiTAC), IMO it is reasonable to expect new license announcements soon.

This hopeful bubble needs to be popped - if appropriate!

So break out the pointy projectiles and help!
