The market will be open for 3 hours after the meeting starts. Would not think that anything earth shattering would be announced during trading hours. If the meeting goes until after 1pm pacific, they could possibly say something then. If something good happens before then, they certainly will not sit on it until the SHM. IMO there is not anything sneaky going on here.
