Funny... About 30 years ago I went to a lecture given by Edwin Newman. He had written a book entitled "Preserving a Civil Tongue.". English in accurate reporting. An example he gave was a newspaper article where the author had said 2 people had been electocuted. This means death by electric shock. The people lived. They had received an electric shock. Wording is important. We all know about that from the patent re-exams..lol..
