Once they license, they no longer infringe.
I know what you meant though, it might be better for cash flow amd market perception to get a one time fee with a license, then royalties on sales till the patents expire, but how do you calculate this with 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 patents in a product and expiration dates over approx a 2.5 year period?
Seems to me this would create too much accounting burden on both sides?
Now, NUNCHI and microSignet is another matter...that seems doable upfront providing it is not from infringement...don't even want to think about it!
