I agree, however, there are more important issues at the heart of 774 , mainly the format use of the memory that have evolved into other patents.

e.Digital is not suing companies on the notion of removable , ...e.Digital is suing for patent claims that are principled on removable memory. If the memory is removable....e.Digital can prosecute for the root claims considered to be infringed.
With that we know that the court recently turnd down Appels 12c in the removable memory issue.
