Message: e.Digital Corporation v. JVC Americas Corp. et al - *question*

Question for the legal beagles on this board... the question is about the following case for JVC.

  • On 10/16/2013, the case was settled as you can see from the entries listed below. Now, on 10/29/2013, they have a briefing scheduled.. it seems they have jumped on the bandwagon with the other defendants with the case of 13cv785. Can someone explain to me in laymans terms what this is all about... So, I've listed it on our spreadsheet as Case Settled, Briefing Scheduled... and it seems a bit confusing to me... duh

Note: I've accepted my SELF APPOINTED task of providing links to Pacer Documents but having ZERO legal knowledge except traffic court, I'm learning all this as we go...lol, please excuse my ignorance... thanks in advance.

All Defendants intending to file motions to amend or correct stipulated partial judgments shall present their arguments by notice of joinder in the motion already filed in case no. 13cv785. To the extent there are material differences in the specific partial judgments or other material circumstances relevant to the merits of the motion, Defendants are granted leave to present them, together with any related arguments, in their respective notices of joinder. The motion to amend the stipulated partial judgment filed in case no. 13cv112, docket no. 66, is stricken. Defendants are granted leave to file a notice of joinder as provided in this order. No later than November 8, 2013, Defendants shall file their respective notices of joinder, if any, which shall not exceed five pages each. No later than November 22, 2013, Plaintiff shall file one omnibus opposition brief, if any, which shall not exceed twenty−five (25) pages in length.
