"What was AAPL trying to find out?"

Apple accused e.Digital and Huawei of being in some form of underhanded dealings against Apple.. Apple feels that Huawei is a substantial competitor to Apple in the market and that Huawei / e.Digital conspired to get the appeal process started behind Apples back.

Apple wants the details of the e.Digital / Huawei conclusion revealed for the purpose of proving, in some fashion, unhanded dealings and the court said no on that matter.

PURE bunk.

Thing is, Apple has made that accusation a considerable part of their argument to have the Partial judgment amended.

Now we have to wait for a ruling on defendants motion to amend out without the accusations involved. The law and contractual (stipulated) agreements....are the conditions questionable? I'd say no, as each party signed on with guidance by counsel...lol.
