Message: Investing since I bought edig

Crazy, I looked up some of my statistics on investing since I first purchasd edig, almost 15 years ago.

I have bought shares of 35 companies and had 191 purchases over that time frame. I have had 73 sell transactions during that period, and 60 were moderately or very profitable. The remaining 13 were for a loss, 5 of which I sold to offset major tax gains (so I don't feel real bad) since it was planned. The remaining 8 resulted in a loss and I had enough information about the compnay to know when to sell and take the loss because the fututre didn't look that promising. The total loss of the 8 wasn't too bad, ranged from 5-20% of my investment.

With edig, I have no idea what the real future will bring and have been utilizing my time and effort in this endeavor for more than a decade. It in retrospect was not worth the effort, but the projected loss cannot get much worse based on the recent prices over the last few years, so one may as well hold on to see if luck will come our way.

It's a story I should write down in detail for my grandkids, they would get a laugh from the frustration I could elaborate on.

And so it goes.
