I got one delivered to me from amazon.com last night and I put it through some tests. I used the dvd, internet with bluetooth and wifi on and the battery lasted for more than 4 hours. I also bought a high capacity battery from euclid.com which is suppose to last 1.5 times the standard battery. I am hoping to get 10hrs of battery life between the both of them. The unit itself feels like it weighs less than the battery. It should take about 6 pounds of weight off my carry on bag. I know what you are talking about the misrepresentation of battery life in most laptops but the sony tx is the real deal and so far performs as advertised.
