While Wencor has apparently gone another route, it doesn`t hurt to be aware of how things are developing. As quickly as Wencor was engaged to IMS, then not, you never can count out the possibility that Wencor(digecor) may re-engage EDIG at some point down the road....especially considering how they continue to do business with EDIG as we hear nothing on the digesystem going forward.
Anyway, it was a slow newsday and I thought it appropriate to take note.
Again, EDIG is dancing in markets that offer much promise, not unlike the MP3 markets did at one point. While portalplayer became the ``MARKET STANDARD`` based on their ``mom-pop`` shop design house due to the aggressive marketing from Apple (the right partner) not to mention Apple locking up the smaller form factor hard drives from its competitors, the next ``hot`` product continues to lie in wait.
Whether or not that`s the kino/kiosk concept or the medeViewer appearing in hospitals/medical-dental offices, cruise lines or in military applications, we are just one product or opportunity away.
While some may make hay regarding the financing deals for a $5-6 million company that continues to evolve while searching for the right product/market, we remain ONE DEAL AWAY from making their inflamed fears irrelevant.
We were a penny stock from day one and we remain a penny stock, so to expect stellar financials prior to having that first real product success is a ridiculous exercise for those needing to feel ``smart``. Gee, attack a penny stock every day...now that`s a good use of one`s time.
They could have also blasted portalplayers debt and financing deals prior to the ipod phenomenon...BFD. So they choose to sit on a penny stock, make accusations about shelf shares, impending bankruptcy... all very inflamatory and yet never the reality of the day. What they do accomplish is to shift the vision which in turn, shifts perception and depresses the pps...so their real purpose is obvious.
If Will Blakeley and company can seize the opportunities they envision, EDIG too will have its day.
