Apple paid 23.6 mil for infringing on Skytel technology from 1990+ patents and argued they should have only paid 1 mil. 23.6 mil is less than 8 cents per share in EDIG terms. Why would they pay $7 per share for EDIG when they might wait for a court case and pay less than 10 cents per share? Court ordered damage awards for patent infringement of intellectual property such as EDIG owns will have to be much higher than currently if a company like Apple is going to actually pay attention to potential patent infringement and license technology rather than steal it. When awards rise to a range of hundreds of millions to several billion, then companies will start paying substantial licensing fees up front and offer billions for buyouts.

The bottom line IMO is money. Like it or not, the amount of court awards and settlements determines the value of future license values and infringement settlements for companies like EDIG. Like many here, I will not be selling any EDIG stock at current levels and will be hoping for fair valuation of EDIG current intellectual property.
