Mary Fales, principal and founder, has been practicing U.S. and foreign patent preparation and prosecution for over six years as a registered patent agent. Prior to that, she was a Sr. electrical engineer for Qualcomm, Franklin Wireless, and TI Wireless spanning over ten years. Mary’s technical expertise began with analog circuit designs and electroacoustic. She has focused on the wireless industry and has a large range of experience in system design, board design, production, and over-the-air (OTA) standards. Her strong engineering background and attention to details enables her to understand her client’s needs and technology well: resulting in high quality patents.
She is currently a part-time third year law student (3L) focusing on intellectual property (IP) at California Western School of Law (CWSL) in San Diego. She plans to expand her legal IP services once admitted to the bar. She received the Academic Achievement Award for Patent Law 2013.
As an inventor herself, she has her own patents pending, enjoys creating art, and making and solving puzzles. Mary cares about maintaining a life work balance and being a responsible giving member of the community. She co-founded the Qualcomm Pro Bono group and is actively involved in local volunteer work with Parental Readiness and Empowerment Program (PREP).
