I just completed reading the Katayama and Mills combo kit....lol.

I must say, I'm glad I didn't finish reading the Katayama patent. In reading it, while marking the shi@ out of my PDF file, I could not reach any comparison of any kind to 108 / 445 issues...

There is nothing that is even close to what 108 and 445 are.

Purcell's reply shot that combo to hell as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know if Purcell is managing this alone, but there is in-depth work going into the reply...with great understand....and common sense.

Just one side note... Katayama fig 10(depicting "latch " arrangements) was missing from the filing.

Wasn't hard for me to grab and enter, so I hope the PTAB is not to put off about it, they have a PDF copy of the Katayama patent to grab the page as I did.
