Message: Re: Pacer: e.Digital Corporation v. SanDisk ~ Settlement

"I thought that San Disk was strictly a flash drive company, not sure they would have any interest in either Micro Signet or Nunchi."

SNDK's initial case was brought against music devices implementing Flash memory....music devices that infringed 737 as well as 774.

SNDK has as much of an interest of e.Digital offerings as any device producer that might want to smarten up there devices for advanced IoT.

All SNDK had to do is finish up its indifferences of 737, regarding specific music devices, where 774 was dropped against them mid stream regarding those devices.... and that would have been the end of it for those devices.

Greed got the best of them, where it was not about those specific devices, where they waited to see what would happen with the CE appeal process.

They were anticipating the end of e.Digital, but that did not happen, as 108 was released form the CE ruling. With that, they were blind sided with a claims construction ruling of 108 within 30 days or so of the appeal. 108 was then brought against SNDK to sit next to 737 on settlement of the specific music devices.....where it now involves more. e.Digital may have then named 108 memory considerations, as brought against the latest defendants, or will in the future, if the details are not cleared up in this case.

For the 737 considerations, it involves detailing bad memory issues around raw data issues so that data is not stored into bad memory. It's not much of a leap to consider the organizational bad memory issues of Signet, that SNDK might have an interest in this method of security in bringing different devices together securely. Devices that do not have to have typical user log in features where the acronym, IoT, might be more meaningful....in the way of seamless.

If SNDK was not able to avoid 737 , It's not going to be able to avoid Signet if its to utilize semiconductor finger printing as ID measures.

SNDK is not only about memory...it will have to join the interconnected world or the IoT .

e.Digital is in the revaluation of IoT, if not a major innovator of the revelation with it's NUNCHI patent base... It's only just starting where e.Digital is staking its claim early on with patented methods.
